Strength training increases the muscle mass and, therefore, the basic metabolic rate. This means that your body consumes continuously more calories without the need for you to do anything in addition. By this, it is much easier for you to keep or to reduce your weight, respectively. You have more power and, therefore, you feel lighter and your agility becomes better.

An increase of power leads to a stabilization of the spinal column and the joints and can, thereby, avoid the developing of chronic pains in these areas and, in case of already existing problems, it can eliminate them, respectively. Last but not least the visual appearance is, of course, important: a trained body looks simply better and you have a better appearance.
